Val’s views are based on a simple but powerful principle – strive to do the right thing right. This means to ensure that the consequences of decisions are sustainable in the long term, regardless of party affiliation. This is not easy, but it is critically important to make the world a better place for future generations. Instead of making lofty promises to change the world, Val feels it is important to share her beliefs, principles, and priorities. This will help voters know the “why” behind the decisions that (will) guide her views on issues, both current and future. She also does not claim to be an expert on every topic. Instead, she relies on a group of talented experts across the political spectrum to understand and consider both sides of each issue in-depth. This input, along with her life’s journey - from humble beginnings to achieving the American dream, have shaped her views. She has always been an inclusive leader and will be a voice for voters across the spectrum of society in the district. Importantly, this also aligns with the views of the vast, rational majority of the district and country. Val is a pro-choice, pro-climate moderate Republican.
